Internal Medicine

Arizona Chapter Annual ACP Scientific Meeting

The Arizona Chapter of ACP holds and annual Scientific Meeting with representation from all subspecialties of Internal Medicine. Each year, our program participates in multiple aspects of the conference including: 

  • Poster presentations - case reports, research, or QI

  • Verbal Case Vignette - of one of our hospital's most interesting cases of the year

  • Doctors' Dilemma - a jeopardy-style competition where teams of four residents  from each of the residency programs in Arizona compete for points and bragging rights


We encourage fellowship applicants from all fields to submit abstracts for this conference, as well as residents with hospitalist aspirations. Several of the winners from this conference go on to compete at the national convention.

Academic Excellence Day

The Michael Grossman, MD Academic Excellence Day is a forum for health care professionals and community members to learn about the exciting clinical and translational research being done by residents, fellows, and graduate students in Phoenix.

The major conference for GI learning and development. In addition to opportunities to present research and case presentation posters, this conference also offers residents a unique opportunity to participate in Practice Management Courses to hone skills and learn up to date patient care skills.
