Hospitalist Elective
Calling any PGY-3s and PGY-4s with an interest in Hospital Medicine!
The Hospitalist Elective rotation at BUMCP is specifically structured to enrich the learning experience of senior residents. It aims to nurture and inspire those who have a keen interest in pursuing a career in Hospital Medicine. This rotation is suited for advanced residents, usually in PGY-3 (Internal Medicine) or PGY-4 (Med-Peds), who have significant inpatient ward experience and seek to function effectively as independent hospitalists upon graduation.
The primary objective of the Hospitalist Elective rotation is for senior University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix (UACOMP) residents to achieve proficiency in evaluating and managing hospitalized patients, aligning with the standards and expectations of a direct care hospitalist's role.
